New! Surface Support Training

Diveheart’s new Surface Support Training program gives both divers and non-divers the skills they need to safely support adaptive diving activities from above the water either poolside or on deck.

Surface Support volunteers play a crucial role in creating a smooth, safe, and encouraging environment during pool sessions and open-water experiences—helping with gear handling, participant transfers, logistics, communication, and overall safety.

This training is designed for anyone who wants to be involved, even if they’ve never been scuba certified.

Adaptive dive buddies

Adaptive dive buddies are the heart of every Diveheart experience, providing essential support, safety, and encouragement to adaptive divers both above and below the surface. Their time, patience, and commitment create life-changing moments—helping participants build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover new possibilities underwater.

Diveheart’s Adaptive Dive Buddy training is recognized as one of the most comprehensive and respected programs in the industry, preparing volunteers with the skills, awareness, and best practices needed to safely assist adaptive divers. Get certified as an Adaptive Dive Buddy through our network of independent Diveheart instructors and become part of a community dedicated to empowering every diver.
