Marine Veteran Terry Thomas was injured in Iraq eight years ago. Saturday June 15th Terry escaped the confines of his wheel chair and stood up for the first time since his injury with the help of Diveheart volunteers. “I couldn’t take my eyes off my legs when I was standing underwater, it was unreal” Terry Said. ” it was wonderful to be able to see myself standing in zero gravity” he added. “I thought sky diving was the coolest thing I ever did until I tried scuba diving with Diveheart. Now Scuba is my favorite thing and I can’t wait to get back in the water”.
